After growing up surfing in Bali and later moving to Northern Europe, I felt the difference immediately. I approached North Forecasting as a learning project and a real product at the same time, collaborating with the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences to translate professional forecasting data into something practical and approachable. The app is live. Hundreds of surfers now use it every day to check conditions along the North Sea coast.
